Overview

Trackii ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal budgeting app that helps you track income, spending, savings, and subscriptions. Your privacy matters to us, and this policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What Data We Collect

Data You Provide

• Budget information: Income amounts, spending entries, savings entries, and budget allocations
• Subscription details: Names, amounts, and frequencies of your subscriptions
• Receipt images: Photos of receipts you scan for automatic spending logging
• Profile information: Display name, email address, and optional profile photo
• Currency preference: Your selected display currency

Data Collected Automatically

• Account authentication: When you sign up, we create a secure account using Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google Sign-In)
• Anonymous ID: A random anonymous ID may be generated for Cloud Functions access
• We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, or device identifiers for tracking purposes

How Your Data is Stored

Your data is securely synced to the cloud using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) so that it is backed up and protected. This means:

• Your financial data (budgets, spending, savings, subscriptions) is stored in Firebase Firestore, a secure cloud database
• Receipt images are stored in Firebase Storage
• Your user profile (name, email) is stored in Firebase Firestore
• All data is transmitted securely over HTTPS/TLS
• Your data is associated with your authenticated account and is not accessible to other users
• Firebase infrastructure is hosted in secure Google Cloud data centres and is subject to Google's security practices

Data Retention

• Your data is retained for as long as your account is active
• If you delete your account or clear your data, it is permanently removed from our servers

AI Advisor

If you use the AI Advisor feature (premium), the following applies:

• Your budget summary and spending data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API via Firebase Cloud Functions to generate personalised financial advice
• Your conversation history with the AI Advisor is stored in Firebase Firestore so you can revisit past advice
• Anthropic does not use your data to train AI models (per their API terms)
• Data sent to the AI is limited to what is needed to provide advice (budget summary, spending patterns)

Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): Used for authentication, cloud data storage (Firestore), file storage (Firebase Storage), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and serverless functions (Cloud Functions). Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• Anthropic Claude API: Used to power the AI Advisor feature via Cloud Functions. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not share your financial information with advertisers
• We do not track your activity across other apps or websites
• We do not use your data for purposes other than providing the app's features
• We do not access or view your individual financial data

Your Rights

You can at any time:

• Delete all your data by using the "Clear All Data" option in Settings, which removes your data from both the device and our servers
• Delete your account to permanently remove all associated data
• Export your data by generating a PDF report from the Reports tab
• Contact us with any questions about your data or to request data deletion

Children's Privacy

Trackii is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children under these ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
